Punchlist Day 2 - Getting so very close!

Saturday - 3/16/19 Last weekend we started moving things back into the house. Allen took Friday off and had a couple of guys come to move everything out of our bedroom to where it goes in the house. He also had them move most of our stuff back over from our friend's house around the corner.  Here are the basement pictures. Punchlist Day 1 - First Floor is almost done!

Today was an exciting day - I went over in the morning to start doing the final punchlist/inspection of the house. Really only the first floor was ready, so that's mainly what I focused on. They were finishing up more today and tomorrow and so I will go over on the weekend to do the rest. I was so excited to share, that I commandeered the beginning of our work monthly management meeting this morning to share photos. Everyone at work has been following this project, so they were all excited to see it. I wanted to share with all of you, too!!! The living room floors are refinished, walls are smooth, and we have beautiful new baseboards! (they aren't that yucky brown anymore!!) The living room looking the other way. Week 24 - It's the little things

Week 24: February 25 - March 1 This week was all about the little things...and the backyard. We decided to do a change order to get the backyard done because we figured it made sense to do it now, rather than leave it a big, muddy mess to deal with later, and my contractor gave us a good price (I consulted with others who have done similar work, including a contractor friend). The pictures in this post are all from Thursday, 2/28, but from both the morning, when I went over to meet with the contractor, and in the evening, when I went back to see the progress. You can easily tell the difference in the lighting. I have mixed them together so that the photos are grouped by location. Let's start with the backyard. This was started on Tuesday and by Thursday morning they had already removed the soil, put down the rough gravel, the filter paper, and the smaller gravel. This area will be the planting bed.
