Today was an exciting day - I went over in the morning to start doing the final punchlist/inspection of the house. Really only the first floor was ready, so that's mainly what I focused on. They were finishing up more today and tomorrow and so I will go over on the weekend to do the rest.
I was so excited to share, that I commandeered the beginning of our work monthly management meeting this morning to share photos. Everyone at work has been following this project, so they were all excited to see it. I wanted to share with all of you, too!!!

The living room floors are refinished, walls are smooth, and we have beautiful new baseboards! (they aren't that yucky brown anymore!!) |

The banquette, all done. Now I just have to find the perfect table... |

The windows are done. The contractor was removing the plastic film this morning. |

The shed is more than halfway done. It's all really coming along well. |
I will go over this weekend to finish up my inspections of the inside. Today they were suppose to finish the small things on the first floor, do a good cleaning all around, and finish up some things in the basement. They were still working in the bathroom this morning, and the plumber will come tomorrow to install the washer and dryer. When I left around 9 am, they were unloading the slate flagstone for the backyard and were going to start installing it today.
My afternoon call today was canceled so I was able to run to Home Depot and pick up the hoses and power cord for the washer/dryer, and the light for the basement walk-in closet.
Tomorrow (Friday) Allen is going to go over and start moving the stuff out of our bedroom to where it goes. Don't worry, he's not doing it alone - we have hired a couple of "young guys" to do the major lifting. No injuries allowed around here!
Your kitchen!!! 😍😍😍
