Week 8 Update - more framing and some demo
The weather was iffy part of this week, so most of the work was interior.
The window from the existing dining room to the addition was cut down to create the doorway!
The addition is mostly framed out.
In the back ground of the above picture, you can see the original door into the basement. This door will move to the right so that we can build a mechanical closet around the hot water heater and furnace.
This week the new HVAC goes in and hopefully the exterior brick work starts.
Next week is plumbing and after Thanksgiving is the electrical work.
I meet with the cabinet sub in the morning to finalize some things, and then I'm off to Las Vegas for the week to present/attend Autodesk University, which is the most important event of the year for my company.
The updates are spread out now because of the time change. I don't get home until after dark now so I haven't really been going over to the house during the week.

Can you tell I'm excited about the mudroom landing?! The washer and dryer will be under the wider part of the landing. |
This will be a storage area under the stairs. |
Change order #1 - the sump pump |
